I don't want the good therapists in this group to lose work because the accounting mistakes that have been made. I do feel bad for the therapists that work here though, because their accounting department may be adding to the stress of their patients. I know this to be true of my situation. I was told, "You have only a $40 co pay, and there is 0 deductible." Later after my therapist left the group (5 visits in), I was told that the therapist they had set me up with was not covered by my insurance, and I would be paying $140 per visit out of pocket. I received a $400 bill from them this month that was charged to my card on file only a few days afterward. I did not appreciate them over-drafting my bank account. UPDATE: Thank you for the response. When I find the emotional energy to speak with someone there, I do hope to get something sorted. My suggestion to future patients; if you're worried at all about money, find out directly from your therapist if they take your insurance and then check with your insurance after every visit to see what's getting paid since the quote from accounting may be completely wrong. It shouldn't be this much work to get good therapy at a reasonable price, but apparently this is the world we live in.
I've had great experiences with the therapists and staff! Would definitely recommend.
